Privacy notice
topscale.dev does not ask for personal data: it has no forms, registration or newsletter, and it uses no cookies. The sections below describe the data that is still generated when visiting the site and when getting in touch by email.

Server logs
When serving the site, the server records a technical log entry for every request.
- Data processed
- IP address, time of the request, address of the page opened, browser identifier (user agent).
- Purpose
- Operating the site, detecting errors and attacks.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention
- 14 days, then deleted automatically.
Visitor statistics
Visits are measured with self-hosted Umami software. Umami uses no cookies and does not store the IP address: only the country is derived from it, along with a regularly rotated visit identifier that cannot be reversed. Visitors cannot be identified from the stored data.
- Data processed
- The page opened, the referring page, country, browser and operating system type, device type, screen size and browser language.
- Purpose
- Aggregate visitor statistics.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Email enquiries
Emails sent to info@topscale.hu and the sender's details are used only to answer the enquiry.
- Data processed
- Name, email address and any other data given in the email.
- Purpose
- Answering the enquiry, keeping in touch.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest, or steps taken before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and (b)).
- Retention
- Up to 2 years from receipt of the email.
- Processor
- Emails to topscale.hu addresses are received and forwarded by Maileroo Group Pty Ltd (Level 14, 333 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia). Maileroo processes the data on servers in the European Union; remote access by its staff in Australia is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Decision (EU) 2021/914).
Cookies and external content
The site uses no cookies and stores no data in the browser. It loads no content (fonts, scripts, images, video) from external services.
Hosting
The site and the statistics run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in Germany. As hosting provider, Hetzner stores the server logs and the statistics as a data processor. This data stays in the European Union and is not passed on to third parties.
Rights
Data subjects have the right to:
- access the data processed about them,
- have the data rectified or erased,
- restrict the processing,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- data portability.
Requests can be sent to info@topscale.hu. A reply is given within one month at the latest.
Complaints
Complaints can be lodged with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), and legal action can also be taken in court.
